Homelessness
Homeless persons should enjoy and have protection of their constitutional and statutory rights the same as any other person. Those rights include a safe and habitable environment with adequate medical care and freedom from hunger so that their dignity and safety is maintained.
The Barbara McDowell Public Interest Law Center litigates and advocates on behalf of homeless persons and persons facing homelessness to ensure their constitutional and statutory rights are protected and maintained and that those rights are recognized in governmental practices and by legislative enactments.
